Nsonwu takes part in forum to air on UNC-TV

Coming to UNC-TV next week: Dr. Maura Busch Nsonwu, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and other academics discuss issues raised by a special five-part PBS series, Women, War and Peace, with one of the series’ executive producers.

The series debuts Tuesday, October 11, at 10 p.m.  The discussion will follow at 11 p.m.  It was taped last week at Guilford College.  Appearing with Nsonwu will be Dr. Dan Figgins, professor of political science at North Carolina State University; Dr. Amal I. Khoury, assistant professor of peace and conflict studies at Guilford College; and Pamela Hogan, an executive producer of Women, War & Peace and the writer/producer of the first film in the series, I Came to Testify, about the women of Bosnia.
