Wake Forest University has invited faculty, administrators and students from North Carolina A&T and other area universities to workshops on the Fulbright Scholars program. The sessions will be held Monday March 28.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Gary Garrison of the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) will lead a workshop for faculty and upper-level administrators on Core, Specialist, and Distinguished Fulbright Scholarships. He will meet with individuals from 11 a.m. to noon (sign-up is on a first-come basis).
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Garrison will hold a workshop for students on the Fulbright, Pickering, Rangel, and Rotary Ambassadorial programs.
CIES administers the Fulbright program. The workshops will be held in the Benson Center, Room 407 (Number 6 on this campus map).

Also, at 4:30 p.m., Dr. Nuhu Yaqub, Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence 2010-2011, will speak on political violence in modern Africa. Yaqub is Professor of Political Science at the University of Abuja in Nigeria. His lecture will be in Kulynych Auditorium at the Welcome Center.
